Proper information regarding the hotel lodging is not available. There is not front desk. You have to call to get your room keys. Directions to the location is not available
The location is excellent, in the middle of Ximen.
It is very hard to find, there is no reception (you have to call when you arrive), at first we had a really bad room (but we could change), internet is too slow.
It is not like hotel. Just came address, up to exact flor, call to indicated phone, wait 30 min, got key. No one cleans you room. For check out just leave open door and key inside. But location absolutely perfect, many stores and busy life.
It is not even guest house. Just room for a night. Do not stay over one or two nights.
The only good thing is the location at Ximen and close to mrt station. However for tourists might be difficult to find the location for the first time cos' is hidden at an alley, not on the main road and at night may seen not safe.
1. Upon reaching the hotel, with no proper signboard, is not easy to locate the hotel on 4th floor. 2. the lift was in repair for 2 weeks, i have to drag my luggage and walk up the stairs 3. there is no reception desk at 4th floor, just a notice stated, if you want to check in, call a local number, and I did, finally, a lady come to pass us a key after waiting at the 'non air con lobby' for 40 minutes. 4.the reception was extremely dusty, the room with hairs on the floor and in the bathroom, the air con in the room is working but smell stale. 5. I stay there for 1 night at rm120 and quickly check out the following day for a better hotels within this area for rm168. Most local hotels do not access to ad in net, my suggestion is to find out yourself. most local hotels, rates are below rm200 per night, clean, with breakfast, and facing main street and safe. 6. anyone can walk up to Taipeicorner at 4th floor and rob the guests. 7. checking out was super easy. we were advise, to drop the key in the room and just close the door and walk down.
Location was ok if you are focus on just sightseeing.
Stuffs at this hotel do not understand English well. If I did not have a Taiwanese friend who was supposed to meet me during my stay, it would be awful. I could not imagine to survive my stay without my friend. Because of poor communication, a stuff of this hotel, his boss, and my friend had to communicate among them. It is such a wasting of telephone fee money and time!!! To make clear a couple of my questions, it took more than 1 hr. And there is no reception. Although it is not negotiable to get in this hotel a bit earlier than check-in time, it seems it is not negotiable to keep your luggage and you have to call them if something happens. Finally, they do not give a receipt at all even though my friend and I have asked them. Do you think they provide a professional service? It is no. I never recommend to stay this hotel.
Other than the price, quietness and location, absolutely NOThiNg
The floors were grimy, ceiling had bugs crawling all over, they were big, visible, and over 8pf them. Attempted to change rooms, but the worker claimed it all the rooms were booked. No house keeping during my 3 night stay, every corner of the wall were dusty, rusty, and hairy. No receptionist or security, the building is situated in the back alley, anyone can come up and knock on your door anytime. It is quite dangerous. Unless you're a backpacker, and absolutely desperate, do not stay here.
